Hotel Ciutadella Barcelona

Hotel Ciutadella is well situated and within easy walking distance to the popular beach and harbour area and of course the main shopping area of La Rambla. On first entering the hotel, we found the staff very friendly, helpful and most accommodating to our needs. We had a pleasant room on the 4th floor overlooking the main street below. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and also very clean. The bed was very comfortable as were the soft pillows. The air con was easy to use to set to your personal satisfaction. We found the room very quiet at night and not much noise came through from the street below, or surrounding rooms or corridor. The windows open up with shutters at the side so as to bring in the fresh air if required. The breakfast was plentiful with plenty of options to choose from. We had a very pleasant stay and is in a great location. Would highly recommend and we would stay again with no hesitation.

Room and bathroom are correct, bed is very large and comfortable. We were surprised that a 4-star hotel like this does not have a bar or restaurant, they only serve breakfast. That was an inconvenience we were not counting on. The Wi-Fi works poorly, as does the TV.

The hotel itself was very aesthetic and clean from the lobby to the gym, to the breakfast hall and our room! The guys at the desk were always helpful with a smile and the ladies downstairs too. Our room and linen was cleaned to quality every day. In terms of location, the hotel is a walkable distance from Barceloneta, el Born, la Gotica, the Zoo and the beach front, it’s also right next Franca train station for further travelling. Would definitely come back and stay here, muchas gracias!
