Hotel Viladomat

MAJOR security issue at this hotel. Woken up in the middle of the night by scratching noises on wood at 3:45 a.m. When I got up, I saw a small white cord on the door handle of my room 512 and it was scratching behind the door. I had engaged the door lock. Being very scared, I did not have the reflex to take a photo of the cord and I knocked on the door: I heard quick footsteps in the hallway and a door slam. I reported these facts orally and in writing with photos of the door because I noticed there is a gap under the door, which corresponds to the electronic opening location and the door handles. Written response from the hotel Manager: there are no cameras in the hotel and nothing abnormal regarding the electronic opening system of my door / and saw nothing abnormal even if there was noise that night on the floor => security measures will be taken: cameras, electronic system. BUT nothing about this door with a "planed?" bottom that allowed the passage of the cord. Is it normal to have a door with a gap at the bottom right at that location? While inspecting my door, I clearly saw this gap at the bottom and took the photos that I sent to the hotel. You can find on the Internet how it is possible to open a door with a string passed under a door and slipped onto the inside handle. I was lucky, but it is a traumatic experience.

Hotel with no kind of conditions. No maintenance. Rooms with mold and humidity. Dirty walls, dirty cushions and curtains. Maintenance-free bathroom fixtures. I don't know how it has three stars. It looks like a pension.

Old facility, worn-out rooms, dirt, rude, arrogant, and boorish staff. Inappropriate, arrogant responses. In the bathroom, clumps of hair, falling shower grab bars, falling towel racks, a hovel. Lamps that are about to fall, all hanging. Wi-Fi that doesn't work and the response was: it works for me.... Room amenities non-existent. Motorcycle parking €25 per night, as if it were Monte Carlo. Terrible value for money. Upon arrival, they asked for my card number for a room deposit, then seeing that the room itself was a dump, I asked what the deposit was for, and they told me for the minibar... I invite you to look at the photo of the minibar contents... Two euros worth of poor-quality goods... Single beds instead of the double bed I booked. I am attaching exhaustive, chilling photos... furthermore, they made me pay the tourist taxes again (€30) even though my booking already included them, and it had already been paid. They are clearly scraping the bottom of the barrel...
