The hotel has a good location. When we arrived the lobby staff gave us a room without finding our booking. When we arrived to the room, it was dirty in the floor, the decorative pillows in the bed were also dirty. The bathroom looked very outdated and again not clean. When we wanted to use the towels after hand wash, we noticed they were still dirty too. I got them replaced. We looked at our reservation, only to find out that we got the wrong room standard. When we finally got our right room, it was better. The breakfast room is dirty, the buffet very poor and the cereals stay in the sun all day. The atmosphere isn’t pleasant. Some lobby staff are very friendly and helpful which gives a first false impression. The price is too high for that kind of hotel. The swimming pool was out of order.

We went to Caldetas to visit family and booked this hotel. The location is great but the hotel is quite run down. The pictures do not represent what you get inside. The rooms are quite bare and not super clean. Our refrigerator did not work so when we asked for it to be fixed, we were given a second fridge, which also didn't work. The foot towel was changed only once during the entire week we stayed, and was dirty (stained) from the get go. The church bells that most reviewers complain about were not that loud but it could be where our suite was located, plus church bells have never bothered us. The most annoying part about our stay was the door lock. Sometimes the door would not lock at all after wanting to leave, and other times, it would not unlock. Apparently it's connected to the wifi of the hotel whose locks have to be reset if the wifi goes down (or so I understood). I would say that we had to have the door "fixed" about 4-5 times during our stay and had to call the after hours number to have someone let us into the room. Finally, each night the emergency light in the room would flicker on and off at night, waking us up. After the second night I had to sleep with my sleep mask that I thankfully had with me for the plane ride. We had asked for that to be fixed as well, to no avail. The cost of the hotel was definitely not worth the quality, and the quality certainly was not as advertised. I'm giving it 2 stars because it had air conditioning during a super hot week and it was a safe place to sleep. Also the staff were amazing. I think the owner needs to invest a little in upkeep. I will forgo staying here next time if I can. We used to stay at the Hotel Cologne in the past, and I look forward to its reopening for the next time we're in Caldetas.

We spent 3 days in colonies, with a small group of students from training cycles. Very good experience, very central hotel (Caldetes is small, quiet and with a lot of culture), very friendly workers, very attentive manager, everything have been facilities. We could enjoy the fantastic terrace in the attic, as well as the gym and pool, made us some fantastic days. Very full breakfast and very clean rooms. We'll be back!! Gràcies Marc!!
