Occidental Atenea Mar-Adults Only

The Occidental Atenea Mar convinces me above all with its fantastic location right on the beach. The miles-long beach promenade is perfect for jogging, cycling, scootering, or simply for a relaxing walk by the sea. At the same time, you are far away from the hustle and bustle of the city – exactly what I particularly appreciate about Barcelona. A very special thank you to the hotel for the lovely little surprise for my birthday. That was a wonderful gesture and made my stay even more special. ❤️ Many thanks to the entire team – I would love to come back!

If you value your sleep, please don’t book this hotel. Firstly reception staff are awful, previous reviews about them being uninterested and their anttitude are spot on, they couldn’t care less. For this price you would have thought that the hotel rooms were sound proof. That’s not the case. We booked a superior room, nothing superior about it. The aircon button is damaged and there’s also visible damage to the floor. Luckily we’re checking out tomorrow. Made the mistake of having dinner at the hotel, poor quality. The pool, if you can call it that, is laughable. We took one look at it and went to the beach. They also allow people to loiter at the entrance so that adds to the noise. Would not recommend. Please look elsewhere and read previous comments.

Modern and clean, helpful staff, well located near the beach. Loved it! Near other good restaurants and bars, easy to travel by bus/metro/taxi.
