Parador de Cardona

We paid a very high price for the suite we were given; it looked like a standard room. It did not feel like you were in a castle at all. I did not like the lack of decoration, drywall walls, etc., and there was a lot of lack of maintenance in the surroundings.

Lovely setting. Great service. Yes the interiors are pretty standard but rooms are large tasteful and comfortable. Have a drink on the rooftop eat in the restuarant and have a perfect evening. They were very conscientious about food allergies, make a mean negroni and the food was surprisingly good. We loved it. Before you leave go see the church. Parking at the top isnt for the feinthearted.

This whole place is wonderful, but the staff really make it special. A particular thank you to Jonathon in the Gastrobar/cafeteria. He is personable and very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for him. Very impressed.
