Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel

It was a nice hotel with okay amenities. The room was spacious for 3 people. The pool was nice but drinks were beyond over priced at the bar up with it. The hotel is very far from city center about a 2 hour walk. The metro is close by but takes about 30 mins to get into town.

This hotel really is not good. We arrived at 1230, told by agent “your suite is large and takes time to clean” give us an hour. 3 hrs later still no room. After another trip to desk, given 2506, a supposed “Executive Suite” absolutely nothing suite about it. Small room, chair blocks bed, constant “ding” of elevator! Really a terrible “suite”. Horrible “balcony” with dirty furniture and dead plants. Crazy green light all night, impossible to block out. The fact they sell this as a suite is incredible….Do not book this category. Hotel elevators then broken, next day we witnessed guest walking down 10-15 flights stairs as elevators were broken. Terrible hotel, I would avoid at all costs.. if you want a decent experience look elsewhere….This should not be a Marriott property… very poor in every sense.

Nice hotel, slightly odd location (far out of city, not much around) but the huge downside is it has very uncomfortable beds - they are very hard - like sleeping on a board. Bed linens are lower quality thsn usual Martiits too. Super uncomfortable especially if you have back issues. I thought Marriott was known for its comfortable beds, and this was part of the reason I choose this hotel. Very disappointed.
