Rialto Hotel Barcelona

A last minute trip, and our travel agent booked the hotel for us, so we hadn’t done any research and wasn’t sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised! A family room with a separate bedroom, large bathroom with both shower, bath tub and two sinks. All newly refurbished and looked very clean. The reception helped us with booking taxi, but because of problems, the taxi couldn’t get to the hotel, so the bellboy helped us with the luggage and directed us to the street to find a taxi for us. Only staying for one night, but we would definitely come back, just because of the hotel, the room and the very central location!

The best thing about this hotel is its location! Aside from that, the room was dark and unwelcoming. Windows are frosted over and the location requires dark drapes closed for privacy. I like light, and wouldn’t go back for that reason.

It’s centrally located so excellent to explore all parts of Barcelona. AC works well. A fridge, hairdryer, soaps etc available in the room. Negatives: the floor was dirty so we could not stay barefoot and the double bed were two single beds put together.
