An amazing hotel in Barcelona for families! We were looking at hotels that could accommodate 4 people and we found this gem. You must book the category of room that says “The Level Family Room”. This gives you 2 rooms with a connecting corridor. This is awesome because one room has a king size bed and the other room has 2 twins that can be separated or pushed together. You also get 2 full bathrooms. Make sure it says “family room” because there are other rooms that can accommodate 4 people, but those rooms are one king and sofa bed. The Lounge is the best - especially when you have kids who constantly ask for snacks. It was about 15mins walk (pulling a wagon with kids) to the Hop on Hop Off bus stop. The metro is nearby as well. Because the hotel is located further away from the major attractions, we felt it was calmer and safer. Will definitely return in the future!

A true disappointment for this hotel that claims to be a 5-star. The gap between the promise and reality is so significant that it feels like being in an overpriced standard hotel. Endless wait at check-in, no priority offers for Level guests. No luggage service either. No special welcome. Modern rooms with rough finishes, furniture showing signs of wear, noise from neighboring doors slamming, no sea view rooms, which is absurd. More design than functional amenities. Very small outdoor pool, crowded, in the shade by 4 PM, under-equipped gym for a 5-star. The lounge, once again without a sea view, offers a very limited and repetitive selection; the Wi-Fi is very poor. The restaurant is a disaster, with few choices, bland dishes, served cold, and an endless wait. This hotel charges for an imaginary marketing concept.

Very nice hotel but not 5star, an average 4 star Above all else the staff are outstanding, the best in any hotel we have stayed in in recent years, really a credit to the hotel and why I rated 4/5 instead of 3.5/5. Overall the hotel is very well located with easily accessible public transport and within walking distance of lovely bars/restaurants and shopping centres. The room: bed:very comfortable and spacious, bedding is crisp and the pillows are fantastic, there are 6 on the bed and each is slightly different from firm to fluffy. Layout: very large desk and one chair which if you order room service will not work if more than one person, also extensive room service menu which looked very nice but spoiled by not being able to eat at a table for two. There is a chaise lounge which is handy to open your suit case on as there is no other option other than the floor. Bathroom: window from bathroom to bedroom, not practical as we found out during the night when you turn on the light it lights up the bedroom waking up my partner. No amenities provided, such as tissues, cotton buds, shower cap, bath salts, bubble bath, disposable razor etc, as I would expect from a 4/5 star hotel. I went to a local Lidl to get tissues and cotton pads as I don’t like using toilet paper. Shower was tiny with a blue glass door and I mean tiny, I stubbed my toe twice on the drain cap and bruised my elbow on the shampoo dispenser. It is so small that the bathroom floods so we found out the hard way why they provide an extra large towel. On the first morning we had no water due to works in the hotel, I had showered the night before but my partner didn’t so he wasnt able to shower/shave until that night, no communication that this was happening and we had to leave as we had tour tickets. The Level Lounge was relocated to the ground floor restaurant also on the second day due to the works but again this was not communicated on check in. The rooftop bar was also closed for a private event so having a night time drink and enjoying the view has not happened. Happy hour is nice but I was so looking forward to tapas but it seems to be the same every night, I was hoping for more variety and local dishes, there is nothing better than Spanish tapas but this did disappoint. We have previously stayed at a hotel in Amsterdam that did a similar happy hour and the local cuisine was outstanding and varied between hot and cold dishes. They provide a trolley of alcohol and garnishes but no recipe of how to make drinks from what was provided, a few recipe cards would be a nice touch such as Bloody Mary, vodka martini, old fashioned etc. Overall a good solid hotel, is it 5 star? No is it working towards it? Possibly, but has a way to go. I would stay again but only if the price was cheaper.
