Hotel Puerta De Bilbao

Terrible service and waiting for an hour for the half empty restaurant. They keep you waiting standing at the desk. Very rude staff. Also at the reception desk. When we phone rings for reservations they pick it up and put it down without a word. Meanwhile the staff is chatting with each other. No manager available.

The hotel prominently advertises the availability of "private parking with electric and Tesla chargers," which can be an important factor when choosing accommodation for those traveling in electric vehicles. During my stay, the 4 charging points in the garage were continuously occupied by several vans identified as "Shuttle" service. Additionally, some of them were using cross cables to connect to chargers located in different spots, practically preventing the use of certain charging points even if the spot was free. When I inquired about the situation at the reception, I was informed that the vans did not belong to the hotel and that the charging spots cannot be reserved. However, the result for the guest is that the chargers advertised as part of the establishment's service may not be available throughout the stay. If you are traveling with an electric vehicle and depend on overnight charging, I recommend having an alternative plan and not assuming that you will be able to use the hotel's chargers, even if they are prominently featured in their advertising. Correct rooms, but of just fair quality for the hotel's category. The pillows turned out to be uncomfortable, and there was also a very bright green emergency light located above the bed that stayed on throughout the night, making it difficult to rest. Nothing serious, but these are details that affect the comfort of the stay.

It's a good hotel, much closer to a three star than a four. The beds are not very comfortable, the pillows low, the layout of our strange room for a hotel with the bathroom door next to the bed. The climate control functioned regularly. The normal breakfast, although they start somewhat late, there was a competition at the BEC and several customers asked if it was possible for them to bring forward the start of breakfast by 10 minutes but it was not possible. One of the coffee machines was working randomly so the queue was important so when I got back to my table they had picked it up.
