We are disappointed with the attitude of the hostel receptionists simply because we brought our pet with us. Lack of empathy, harsh attitude, no greetings or thanks, dry instructions regarding us and our pet, when we always make sure to keep her controlled and maintain distance from other customers to avoid discomfort. Our pet is a Golden Retriever with a good temperament who never barks and behaves very well. On one occasion, when I was leaving with her through the door of the hostel where we were staying, the receptionist indicated with a sour face and a reproachful attitude that I should not use that entrance and should only enter and exit through the hotel door. I would recommend that you do not rent accommodations with pets because if the treatment is going to be like that, it is not worth it for either you or the customers with pets who stay there, as it has been for us. On the other hand, we were charged 18 euros per day for staying with a pet, and unlike other places we have been, there was not even a courtesy of providing a food and water bowl or a mat (although that is the least of it because we take care of bringing those ourselves), but as customers, we felt set apart and discriminated against.
