Continental

A major change is taking place at the spa, both in the maintenance of the facilities and in the kitchen and service. I have to say that I am left with a very pleasant impression I give an excellent rating to the kitchen and restaurant service and the entertainment service (the monitor/entertainer is a star) The truth is it was very good, I will return soon Finally, the hotel's 4 stars are starting to be accurate 👏👏

A beautiful setting with fab drive up. The experience was slightly mad and surreal but would not have missed it. COMPLEX….This is a spa resort with a posh hotel and a mid range hotel the Continental which has two building.the architecture is a mix of historic Georgian and austere Eastern European. There is a covered 2nd floor walkway to the spa . The hotel really did try to hard sell us on email their spa experience which we declined. However the spa building was big and there were plenty of people walking around in white bathrobes. FOOD…..The complex is high in the mountains and is miles from anywhere so the only restaurants are on site. Out of peak season not all are open. We stayed in September and book half board buffet. The restaurant was in a huge room- canteen like. Partner said the restaurant had echoes of Butlins. There was a huge food choice hot and cold. Starters, mains and desserts. Some good some not so good. People were tucking in. It was busy, and slightly mad but enjoyable in a weird sort of way ( for one night at least) ROOM….For some inexplicable reason we got upgraded to a junior suite. Very nice. It was spacious and clean and had 2 toilets!!! The bed was very very firm. My partner did not get a good nights sleep. There was tea and coffee making facilities but no safe. There was a view of the mountain interrupted by view of the plaza in front with tables and chairs. The continental hotel does not offer views of nearby beautiful lake in fact I don’t think posh hotel does either. DRIVE..The drive up to the hotel complex is very windy with fabulous views. The drive really is worth it.

The hotel's location is excellent, but it is very poorly maintained, with dirty and chipped walls in various hallways leading to the rooms and the spa area. The buffet is adequate, although the dinners or lunches are expensive at 24.50 euros for the quality of the product. Friendly staff and spacious rooms.
