Apartamentos Sierra de Monfrague

If your are looking where to spend vacations far from big city noise, to be closer to the nature - Casa Rural la Sierra de Monfrague is a perfect place. Great thanks! Songs of birds, bells of cows and evening frogs concert make a great mix. And sky full of stars. 😊

No-one in when we arrived, but the neighbours took pity on us and phoned the lady owner, who was in Bilbao! Her husband was finally found in the apartments, but the room wasn't ready so we went for lunch, having been given the key. On our return we went to the apartment (Mirto), where we found the room had been sub-divided with a 2 metre high plywood partition, which separated the bed from the kitchen/lounge/diner. Whilst in a great location, and with efficient air con, it was like sleeping in a cave as the plywood was very close to the bedside tables!

In the middle of the Monfrague National Park which is a haven for bird watchers and walkers. Although we only stayed one night we were very impressed the apartments were very clean, comfortable,breakfast was supplied( even lactose free milk) and the owner even stayed up late to check us in as we arrived much later than expected.
