Riu Chiclana

My wife & I have stayed at this hotel 9 times now and we find it an extremely relaxing atomsphere. We took our daughter & son, who have been here once before, plus his girlfirend (all mid 20s). They had a great time so money well spent. No need for early rise to save a sun lounger as there are loads. You can always find a quiet spot away from the pools to chill as well. Acess to the beach is via the back gate but to get on it you have to decend wooden staircase and its quite a climb! No wheelchair access to the beach nearby. Also, if you are a person who likes going off site and visiting restaurants, bars and shops it is defininitely not for you as there is very little near by. Rooms are good. Have a king size double bed, decent shower and are kept spotless. We had a couple of issues with the safe but they were resolved immediately. Plenty of bars around the hotel and an excellent choice of food in the restaurants. Friday night is party night and there are shows and entertainment every other night. Everyone one for the staff work very hard so we could chill and ejoy our holiday. Thank you and see you again

We had a good week, but it has to improve many aspects. Pro Huge site, well-located, and the food quality is good. Con Deteriorated room, bathrooms are average, mattresses are terrible; I have stayed in boarding houses that had better mattresses, the water bottles they offer you are not cold, the variety in the food does not change much, reservations at the restaurants are almost impossible, my experience was that I arrived on a Monday and I was leaving On Sunday and I could not manage to book at the Italian restaurant, and at the front desk they told me to come back another year; I was stunned.

It has everything you could ask for to do with small children: some pools with slides that they loved, entertainment with Calú, access to the beach just a few meters away, and a delicious food buffet where you can try everything.
