Spacious rooms, jacuzzi baths, lots hot water - just the ticket after a long tiring walk... Stunningly beautiful location! Great dinner in local campsite restaurant. Previous reviews lowered my expectations, sure some significant upgrading needed, but was pleasantly surprised! Good value!

I'll give it a 4 stars because everytime I stayed at this hotel I was given a nice room and the staff was very friendly. My family and I have wonderful memories. Nevertheless, there is one receptionist who is particularly rude and has no manners when it comes to adressing people. In all fairness, the whole staff shouldnt be blamed because of her but her attitude gives this hotel a bad reputation. I have read the other reviews and there is no doubt they are about her. She is unprofessionnal and clearly needs to improve bc this isn't pleasant to walk by the reception when she is on duty. Nice place though with a few restaurants around. You can use the beach anytime which is a plus. You can shop in Laredo which is 10 mins away, and the whereabouts are beautiful. Their breakfast didnt get me but I will come back again. There is room for improvement.

Arrived at this hotel en route towards Bilbao.having very briefly seen that they had rooms for 49 euro on Booking.com, but had no wifi at the time to read reviews on Tripadvisor, which I've unfortunately only read now.Undoubtedly the hotel is in a beautiful spot,which is why we thought it would be lovely to stay there. We were hanging around reception for a while, before being met gruffly by a flustered receptionist/manageress(?).On requesting a room, we were give a detailed outline of all the packages,all of course costing way more than the room.So we again explained we just wanted the room.Her tone and face hardened,but finally she said she had one for 49 euros.We said we'd book it and she sent us to get our 2 passports from the car.When we came back, she said "We have no rooms now.It is gone."So after our disbelieving and annoyed protests about her having made the verbal contract already, of offering us the room,and couldn't now just take it away,we then used their wifi to check the booking.com site.There ,in clear view showed 3 rooms left, at 49 euros each.On showing this to her, she pushed the laptop off the counter,becoming more aggressive and babbling loudly in Spanish, refusing to understand our English and my slight Spanish ,that she had understood perfectly well at the start. Our protests fell on deaf ears and when we asked for the manager's name, she refused to give it.Wow,how was that for customer service-sales and greed for more money over simple providing of lodgings.
