Parador de Limpias

The former summer palace of Alfonso XIII is located less than half an hour from several points of interest in Cantabria, such as Castro Urdiales, Laredo, or Santoña. Modern rooms and magnificent gardens of chestnut trees, oaks, and other leafy trees. A good place to relax and sightsee. Very pleasant staff. In addition to the restaurant, the inn has a café and terrace with views of the garden, where having a drink becomes a small great luxury.

Well, the old part of the parador is very nice, but what they put on it, too crazy for words, the architect who drew this!!! So ugly, we arrived, the receptionist was very cool, not friendly, , so if you want to park near the hotel they charge 10€ per night for it. Really scandalous, my wife has a disabled card, I asked if I could put our car in the disabled place, pay 10€, I said him kindly, but that is free everywhere, with a silly grin on his face he said, not here. In other words, screw your card. Then in their restaurant, there is a garçon, Angel, I have not seen such an arrogant rude guy in a long time, how he treated us there, really a shame, we had 15% discount, we asked for the bill, the 15% discount was not taken off, he was very rude to us when we kindly pointed it out to him. Such arrogance. The room, 204, the light was broken, the towel dryer almost fell off the wall, you really hear everything from the other rooms there, we never go back there. Then you have to put your car at the bottom of the mountain in 15 minutes, or pay 10€, what a pain that is. Gang of thugs.

Parador in a very nice setting with lots of garden and trees, lovely entrance of palace, nice room with good views and comfortable bed
