PARADOR

Located in a unique spot, in the middle of the Picos de Europa National Park, surrounded by fantastic natural landscapes and charming villages. The Parador Fuente Dé, at the foot of the source of the Deva River, is special. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was varied and wonderful, and best of all, the hotel staff was very kind and attentive to helping.

Despite being a three-star parador, something I don't understand given its size, number of lounges, rooms, and dining options, it seems more like a four-star one. The privileged location alone is enough to have one more star. Located next to the cable car, it has large pastures around it, pleasant temperatures, and in 5 minutes you can ascend 700 meters. Ideal for hiking routes. The service and treatment are impeccable, and the friendliness is appreciated, as in other paradores. We appreciate being able to have dinner and that despite the tables being reserved, they were able to find a way to accommodate us and serve us. A very nice touch. We spent a couple of nights, and the comfort of the parador and its surroundings make it worth staying many more days of tranquility and great peace. The gesture of lending a walking stick for hikes is a great success. We were here a few years ago, and that feeling has been maintained.

Of course the quiet and the Parador style: wooden floor and furniture, good bedding, very neat. Honestly only rates 3 stars… Welcome drink (amigo?) but concrete terrace when there is grassy area to put armchairs and lounge chairs…
