Decent located hotel for train and bus stations and just a short walk to the main waterside. Hotel walls are very thin so can hear everything. The staff speak nearly no English at, but try to be helpful. Breakfast however is... apalling. The woman that works in the breakfast hall really hates her job. All the food is the cheapest low quality there is. Any uneaten cheese/ham is left over until next day... and judging by how hard the cheese goes it seems to be left out. Breakfast is literally cheap ham, cheap cheese, giant croissants, two choices of serial, yoghurts that are so cheap they are tasteless and some biscuits. If you want a hearty breakfast, pay extra to stay anywhere else. If you want a budget hotel and no/poor breakfast, this'll do.

This hotel is a stones throw from the Brittany Ferry dock gate. Very pleasant road, parking easy in a nearby underground garage about 200 yards away. Excellent hotel, helpful staff and a good tapas bar over the road. Usual buffet style acceptable breakfast. A good experience.

I got into Santander Sunday lunchtime and after checking out the ferry terminal I saw the Hotel Pinamar across the traffic light junction so pulled over and got a room. Its handy for the ferry, its literally a five minute walk. Theres a decent sandwich shop/bakery just around the corner too. The hotel itself, is ok, for one night, not cheap at 60 euro's, and its a bit tired to say the least. If I were to stay in Santander again I'd travel a bit further into the town centre and try somewhere else. Sorry to be negative, the restaurant was closed, theres no bar either, but plenty of both locally. The room and the bedding were clean so for one night it sufficed.
