Our experience has been quite bittersweet. Honestly, we expected quite a bit more from a 4-star hotel.
Regarding the room and the cleanliness, we found the service could be improved. For example, one of the days we left the towels to be changed and they didn't replace all of them, something we believe shouldn't happen in a hotel of this category.
The buffet didn't quite convince us either. The food wasn't bad, but it seemed quite average and below what we expected from a 4-star hotel. A detail that surprised us especially was the breakfast juice: machine juice instead of fresh orange juice. Being in the Valencian Community, we believe that offering fresh juice would be a relatively simple detail that would greatly improve breakfast.
Another quite negative point was the WiFi. In our room, the signal didn't reach at all, and in the common areas where we could connect, the connection was quite poor. Nowadays, we believe that having decent WiFi should be something basic in a hotel of this category.
That said, we want to highlight something very positive: the entertainment and, especially, Paloma. It has been, by far, the best part of our stay. She has been great with our son, she has been attentive to him, and her dedication and the effort she puts into her work are very noticeable. She is one of those people who does much more than what her position simply requires. For us, Paloma has given 200% and we believe that the hotel should know and value the employee it has.
In summary, we enjoyed the stay, but we believe that there are quite a few aspects to improve to really be at the level we expect from a 4-star hotel. The great exception has been the entertainment team and, especially, Paloma, whom we thank very much for the treatment she has given our son.
