Balneario Cervantes

Our experience at the spa has been, in general, very good. The hotel, the facilities, the surroundings, and the pool are a 10. We also want to highlight the professionalism and kindness of all the staff: spa team, massage therapists, dining room staff, and waiters. Everyone was attentive and did not stop working at any time. The negative point is in the organization of the restaurant service. When there are many tables, it seems that the kitchen is too small and cannot meet all the demand on time. During lunch we had to wait quite a while to receive the dishes and, at night, on the cafeteria terrace, the same thing happened. Apparently, a single kitchen serves the dining room and the cafeteria, which causes excessive waits. Some people ended up waiting around an hour for some portions, even though the waiters worked without rest. We were also surprised that, when ordering two beers, they served us two bottles without a glass or cup. After dinner we ordered two Martin Miller gins with tonic and the drinks arrived already prepared from the bar, without us being able to see how they were served, something that we believe should be taken more care of in an establishment of this level. The food, when it finally arrives, is very good. For that reason, we believe that the problem is not the quality or the staff, but the lack of resources and organization to serve so many customers. In summary: facilities, environment, and staff are a 10, but the wait times and the restaurant service need a significant improvement.

Few staff - they do what they can - and low-quality dining with minimal variety. Good for those coming through IMSERSO at practically giveaway prices for 10 days, being the ones who report the most complaints. If you do it on your own, it is very expensive in terms of quality/price ratio; better conditions in other spas in Spain.
