Club Paraiso Playa

I usually don't post negative messages if I don't really see it as necessary, but on this occasion, my experience at this hotel has been disastrous. The food, very poor and repetitive, ended up becoming very tiresome. The room had broken tiles with the danger that entails, a closet with only one door and it was even hanging off, one day we were left in the whole hotel without hot water, another day they didn't clean my room. The common areas, hallways, and stairs were very dirty; some cocktail glasses spent three days next to the elevator door. To say something positive, the hotel staff in general is very friendly; I especially highlight Víctor, who is a star; it's a shame that the hotel doesn't support them because it is very deteriorated, there were even broken steps, a disaster.

We stayed at this hotel as a family with two small children. Unfortunately, we experienced so many shortcomings during our stay that we cannot recommend the hotel despite some positive aspects. The biggest problem for us was the door to our accommodation. The door was not reliably functional and posed a significant problem for us as a family with two small children. A room door should naturally close and function securely – especially in a hotel where you are staying with small children. Instead, we had to deal with this problem during our stay. For us, this is not a minor cosmetic flaw, but a fundamental defect in the accommodation. Overall, the condition of the facility was also unfortunately disappointing. There was trash and food scraps on the grounds, some of which were apparently from the previous day. Among other things, food scraps like lemon slices were lying around. The trash cans were particularly unpleasant, as some of them smelled strongly of feces and full diapers for days on end. In our view, that is absolutely unacceptable for a family resort. The public restrooms were not sufficiently cleaned for several days at a time. Overall, we had the impression in several places that far too little was being done regarding the cleaning and maintenance of public areas. In addition, there were cockroaches on the premises, which was particularly unpleasant for us, especially with children. We also see a clear need for improvement in the children's areas. Our daughter injured herself on the climbing wall on the very first day, which then became infected. Furthermore, there were other areas and activities where we had concerns regarding safety and a potential risk of injury to children due to their condition. Especially for a hotel that explicitly caters to families, we expect regular inspections and a correspondingly safe condition here. Unfortunately, the mini-club was a complete disaster for us. We had high hopes for it for our children, but we were very disappointed. In our view, the condition, offerings, and overall impression were not what we expect from a family hotel. The food was also very monotonous. Throughout the stay, there were always the same dishes. In our perception, dishes that were already served in the evening were sometimes offered again the next lunch and merely reheated. Variety and freshness were clearly missing here. Furthermore, dirty dishes/cutlery were regularly placed in the storage area. Some bowls and glasses were also already damaged. Ultimately, the handling of our complaints was also particularly disappointing. We addressed the shortcomings, repeatedly pointed out the problems, and partially documented them with photos. We received support in this situation primarily from the tour guide. They took on our concerns and supported us. From the hotel itself, we would have wished for a significantly more professional handling of the complaints. A truly big compliment, however, goes to the animation team. The entertainers were dedicated, friendly, and made a great effort. We would especially like to highlight Mara and Vera. The two were incredibly warm and, despite the many negative experiences, provided nice moments. We would like to be explicitly fair: There were also nice moments, and the facility basically has potential. However, in our view, safety, cleanliness, and hygiene must not be a secondary matter at a family hotel. If a door does not function reliably, trash cans smell of feces and diapers for days, cockroaches appear on the premises, children's areas raise safety concerns, our child gets injured on the very first day, the mini-club disappoints, and the food offers hardly any variety daily, then that is simply too much for us. Therefore, we can unfortunately only award 2 stars.

This hotel is not to be recommended; I was here this summer in August/September 2026 and it was different than expected. The beach does not look at all like it does in the pictures; apparently, there are huge amounts of stones here from time to time, which is why you don't have a sandy beach here at all, but simply just stones; it is difficult to even reach the beach because you can only get down via the dangerous sand dunes or a rickety wooden staircase. The hotel itself is okay but definitely in need of renovation; the grounds are not really nice; we were missing the remote control in the room for ages, the refrigerator was or is still broken, and nothing was done after asking at the reception multiple times... the bed squeaks, the balcony door cannot really be locked securely, the bathroom was already slightly dirty upon arrival, and in general, the room is furnished in a rather old-fashioned way. The pool area is good, the pool water consists of salt water instead of chlorine, the pool is clean, and the loungers are also fine. The food is actually the part that deserves the star, a very large selection of food, there is also something for people with gluten intolerance, the drinks are just as good, so you cannot complain about that. Thefts also occur here from time to time; there are no cameras here, so you have to rely on the safe in the room. Not recommended.
