I am not one to write reviews but if you are going to stay anywhere in st feliu de Guíxols let it be here. The biggest thing I commend them on are their staff Adam the bar tender along with two of there other bar tenders are the nicest people we have ever met they couldn’t do enough for us with recommendations of places to go and the making of the best cocktails we have had along with the friendly smiles morning, noon and night made our stay even more special than it was. Our trip started pretty shocking after having to leave our original hotel that was booked and thank god we found Montjoy. The views, food, rooms,staff and the cleanliness was what earned it there 5 stars. A beautiful boutique hotel peaceful right by the sea with again the best people surrounding it. We will be back!

Excellent location, beautiful hotel, comfortable. BUT disappointment and unpleasant surprises followed one another for 2 days. Arriving in good spirits, we were informed that the supplement (completely normal) for our dog (2.7 kg) is… 30 euros per night! It was 15 euros/night in 2023! Once the unpleasant surprise passed, we arrived in our room (chosen with a sea view). It was as expected EXCEPT that a sewer smell made the room barely habitable! No way to open the balcony window, it is 98.6°F outside! The front desk offered to change our room. We arrived, without explanation, in a room that still had a sea view but was small: 120 or 140 cm bed, small closet, cramped bathroom/toilet. The explanation was given to me the next day by the front desk: this room is used when the hotel is full! We can understand that, but by explaining it, the guest feels respected. This person at the front desk, charming and competent, offered to change our room again. Miracle, she assigned us a room (same category as the one booked). So great, we are happy! Check-out at 11:45 AM: the front desk asks my husband for the "bar" supplement (according to the front desk). He pays. Barely an hour later, I receive a message asking me to pay the bar bill that had not been included in the invoice! They attach the bar bill which is correct (16.50 euros: 3 glasses of wine) BUT the bar bill (paid at check-out) which does not correspond to us is not deducted from the total! Messages, calls, nothing works. We receive a bank link to pay and I am told that my husband could have noticed that "3 glasses of wine never cost 16.50 euros" and that I need to calm down! That is a lot of problems for 2 nights in this hotel. Unfortunately, despite the setting, I do not recommend this hotel at all. PS: I started posting yesterday, today I received a message from the hotel "Due to the circumstances that occurred during your stay, the hotel management has decided to cancel the charges. We apologize and send you our best wishes."

What a wonderful little hotel this turned out to be. Located on the hill about Sant Feliu de Guixols, I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with my experience here. The hotel is out of the way, and being tucked up the hill makes it quiet and secluded with a great view. The check-in was easy and from the first moment the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. I was able to leave my bags, having arrived early to undertake other errands I wanted to complete and come back later to collect my key. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, having a room with a sea view was also certainly welcome, the lounges on the balcony was also very nice. Having breakfast included was good, and I found the breakfast selection to be fine, with nothing missing. I had a great stay here, and would certainly come back to the area to explore more of what is to offer!
