Hostal Spa Empuries

This hotel is perfectly located on the beach with glorious gardens to the rear . The reception was exceptional we arrived early our luggage was stored and we were able to use all the hotel facilities. We were given beach towels fresh water and felt extremely well looked after. The staff on reception were excellent. When we arrived at our room our luggage had already been transferred. The room was lovely but we did feel there was a lack of storage space if you were staying more than a couple of days and whilst beach towels were provided fresh every day , a huge bonus there was nowhere to hang up wet swimming costumes as that was not permitted on the balconies which we can understand but perhaps a retractable line in the bathroom would be helpful. The bed was incredibly comfortable and bed lined of very high quality. We found all the restaurant service much less professional than the reception staff. The food at dinner was excellent but service was disappointing for such a wonderful hotel .

Very beautiful place, magnificent hotel Very pleasant pool but shallow Too bad the bar was closed Air conditioning very weak in the room, impossible to make it Go below 24, which is for sleeping. Too high for my taste Very friendly staff
