If your looking for a basic place to stay with friends. This place is perfect. It isn’t the worse but I wouldn’t say it’s a 4 star hotel. We stayed for a week being 3 girls in our 20s. When we got there it was about midnight and we was still able to check in and get to our room. The hallways and lift are quite run down but okay for an average hotel. The lift is tiny and there was one point when we tried to go in the lift and it started beeping as it was over the weight limit??? Never experienced that before. The room was basic, had a balcony facing the pool which was a nice view and we could see everyone coming back from the clubs in the night so that was an experience to say the least. The security was very strict. We was told off for having music on at 10 but the hotel was blaring music from the bar so we was very confused. There was one night we was sat on the balcony talking to some people off the balcony, not at a ridiculous time and wasn’t screaming either. But we had a flashlight flashing at us and told to go inside. So we spent the rest of the holiday in silence in the room because making too much noise wasn’t allowed. Yet our neighbours were allowed to scream the whole day long, all through the night and move their beds about at a ridiculous time. Although we did feel safe with the security with being so close to the strip and having drunken people walking past all the time. They should just consider that people are on our holidays, we should be allowed to sit on our balcony??? The food wasn’t amazing but that’s as a fussy eater: there is a lot of food places very close to the hotel so it wasn’t too much of an issue. They have your basics like chips and pasta but then the rest was fish dishes which wasn’t particularly appetising. The breakfast was just standard buffet, can’t complain about it too much as it wasn’t terrible at all. The pool was the best thing about the hotel. The sun was on it all day and we spent the majority of our days by the pool. It was lovely, they have music playing all through the hotel and the bar star are all really friendly. definitely made us enjoy the trip. There are alot of younger children, I’d say maybe 14-17 year olds who stay at the hotel for sport activities so the pool during the day did get packed at some points so claim a Sunbed from early on in the day. Overall we would stay there again and it wasn’t shocking, the staff, pool and location definitely make the hotel. Just a shame about the security. Thank you hotel Maria del mar.

Seeing the reviews from other users made me worried, but I found a welcoming environment, a magnificent place, and kind staff. Dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, where gluten-free options are also available. The only negative thing is the very thin walls. Excellent value for money.

Well-located hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast with plenty of choices, dinner was mediocre 🤭 we paid extra for the comfort room and wonder why; the bathroom needs renovation, the bathtub has no mat 😓 on the first night my husband slipped, and we had a noise from the neighbor showering 🚿 we could even hear the TV 📺 soundproofing needs to be improved, which is a shame for a 4-star hotel.
