Maybe our expectations were too high. It’s true that these might have been wrongly influenced by the advertising for this hotel ‘on the beach’.
It’s not , it’s across the beach on the road.
Palamós makes it difficult for you as a passer by tourist to find a parking spot ( they prefer to annoy you to get a few more dimes out of your pocket , silly and unproductive). The hotel itself breathes a relaxed old colonial charm and the room was spacious. However for 350 a night you do expect a bit of service from staff , who are completely uninterested in you and quiet nights ( with kids jumping up the floor all night above you it’s difficult but possibly it’s just a lack of education)
