Olympic Suites

Dreadful. Check in was OK. Room nice and modern and kept clean. Plenty of sunbeds. The restaurant is like a canteen and very, very noisy. They need a quieter adults only area. The food is good but cold if you don’t arrive early. They do have microwaves to reheat food but not really the point. Beer taps in the restaurant don’t work. You just get a very small glass of froth. Wine is OK. None recyclable plastic glasses everywhere which is a joke in this day and age. Wi-fi is dreadful, literally nonexistent in rooms and communal areas. They shouldn’t advertise free WiFi if they don’t have one that works. Clientele are dreadful. Not the hotels fault but tattoos and football shirts with the usual foul language is the norm, along with feral children. Absolutely horrible. Pay more and go somewhere with some class.

We recently stayed at Evenia Olympic Suites and overall had a good holiday, but there were some significant positives and negatives. The biggest highlight was the pool area and children’s facilities. They were absolutely fantastic and kept our children entertained throughout the holiday. The hotel is very family-focused and there was plenty for kids to do. The entertainment team also worked hard and the shows were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The selection was limited and repetitive, and on many occasions the food was barely warm, often completely cold by the time we got it. This really let the hotel down and became frustrating over the course of our stay. The evening entertainment itself was good, but the venue was so overcrowded that it was difficult to find seats or even move around comfortably. The atmosphere could have been much better if numbers had been managed more effectively. We did enjoy our stay thanks to the excellent pools, facilities and family-friendly environment. However, the quality of the food was poor enough that we would not choose to return. It’s disappointing because with better food this could have been a hotel we’d happily visit again. One final disappointment was that when I shared my feedback about the food on the hotel’s Facebook page, my comment was deleted and comments were subsequently disabled. Constructive feedback should be welcomed as an opportunity to improve the guest experience.

Ideal hotel for families with children. Everything is oriented toward children; having gone with my grandchildren, I saw a lot of crowding everywhere, and a lot of noise during meals, but it is normal.
