Our passion is nature. We love walking in the mountains and interacting with wild animals. For that reason, we stayed at the Hotel del Lago in Puigcerdà, which we used as a "base camp," given that it is located a short distance from the Carlit peak and the Gorges de Carançà, which were our main objectives during the 4 days of vacation we spent in Cerdanya. The hotel is an absolute wonder. Clean, neat, and with exquisite attention from its owners. I would highlight its fantastic location, with its own free parking, private garden, outdoor pool, heated indoor pool (both with saltwater), with a jacuzzi and sauna. The optional breakfast is abundant and of excellent quality at a very fair price. The room, comfortable. But watch out! If you get one of the attic rooms, watch out so you don't bump your head on the sloped ceiling. I bumped mine, and I thought... wow, I must be stupid! But, the next day my partner hit hers, and I assure you that she is very smart, so I deduced that the problem was not our "bad heads," but the bucolic attic. Otherwise, everything was fantastic, especially the hospitality of the people who assisted us. In short, a family hotel absolutely recommended for your next stay in Cerdanya.
