Castillo de Sol

The Hotel is lovely and clean but. We were on the fifth floor and our apartment had adjoining door obviously locked to the next apartment. Which was next to there tv. It was like they were in our apartment and tv on till 2am they had a bad cough which sounded disgusting. We were here only 3 nights and kept getting woken up in the early hours between 2am - 6am. Music waking us up and was not even from the commercial centre. Such a shame nice hotel in a good location but way too noisy.

Quiet area, brand new rooms, but lacking organization. We have stayed several times in this accommodation and each time we have had to wait until 3:00 PM to enter the room, and by 11:00 AM you have to leave it. You pay for not even being there for 24 hours. In other accommodations, if they have the room ready upon arrival, they give it to you. This one is impossible.

This is the 6th time we have stayed here as a group of 10 (5 couples) and we love it usually, the staff are fantastic and have become friends but we felt that the only thing that has let this hotel down is that the pool bar shuts at 7pm. We often would have a few quieter nights in with a few drinks and card games at the pool bar but sadly this time it wasnt an option which we felt did spoil it somewhat. Even on nights when we would venture down the road we used to meet at the pool bar and have drinks there first from 7-10pm, using this as a meeting point wasn't an option this time either. Im gutted as we normally come at least twice a year, sometimes more.. but if this is going to be a permanent thing we will most likely look for somewhere else to stay. Also, it does state on the website that the pool is heated both in this hotel and the cassablanca next door but the pool was most definately not heated here but when we tried the casablanca it was.. if its on the website then it should be as stated.
