Mariposa del Sol

We stayed at Mariposa Del Sol for a week in August 2025. We really enjoyed our stay. We were advised in advance that the lift was being renovated and there would be a disruption so we could have cancelled if we'd wanted to. I am glad we didn't as the disruption was minimal and for most of the time the place was really quiet and chilled. We had a 2 bed apartment on the 4th floor. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped. Good view from the balcony. The pizza restaurant is great and the service was amazing. Great Spar down the hill. We had a hire car and parking was always available. So glad we chose here instead of some of the busier resorts. My 11 year old daughter loved it too. Thank you!

This hidden place just a short walk from the sea has a soul. The family who has built and run this apartment hotel have created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The heart of the place is the wonderful and warm staff (special thanks to Heti and Marize) led by the young hotel director who is working hard to built further upon what his family has started. On top of that the sea and mountain views from the apartment balcony are stunning, the hotel is very clean, the apartment was comfortable and there is a very good small Italian restaurant / pizza place next to the hotel pool. And ofcourse there are always small inprovements to make in the rooms, but all of the above and not to forget Heti's homemade jams and the beautiful sunsets, make Mariposa del Sol a great place to enjoy your holiday.

Location convenient enough to reach the village with small private parking at the entrance however always found free. Excellent Italian welcome with various suggestions for places to visit. We stayed a week, on the top floor with panoramic views from the beautiful equipped terrace. Rooms found clean and tidy. Kitchen quite equipped and clean. We thank Mr. Salvatore who helped us with a problem that he promptly solved. Good structure adjacent to the heated pool, for breakfast in the morning and for a good pizza in the evening, run by a nice couple of young Italians. I can only recommend this property as a base for various trips to the island.
