Don Gonzalo

Located on the main road a mere 10 minute drive from the Alhambra, this is a perfect overnight stop if visiting there. It has a large restaurant/patisserie on the ground floor where the fairly meager breakfast is served. breakfast consists of a bocadillo of some sort. Juice & coffee. That's about it. The rooms are OK without being spectacular. Have a TV but no tea/coffee making facility. Clean and reasonably comfortable. Under ground car parking which they may charge 8 euro for. (they didn't for us?) There is a large terrace at the front for drinks.

I have stayed at this Hotel for one night each year for several years. It is very convenient for the Sierra Nevada ski slopes. The Hotel is moderately priced, very friendly and lives up to the standards claimed. I plan to go there again shortly

Not only were we given confirmation for a room but when we arrived they had given our Room away - and we were given the NASTIEST MOST AGRESSIVE reception by the manager that I have ever experienced. Not only is This singular to experience as a traveller but the manager on duty was physically threatening. I strongly advise You NOT to spend a CENT of your money at this place. You may find yourself as we did- with nowhere to sleep at the last minute.
