Cortijo Balzain Casas Rurales

I booked this property through Booking. Everything perfect: weekend in a cottage for two people, with fireplace and check-in before and check-out after the usual hours. On the way to the accommodation, almost arriving, we are written by whatsApp and told that the departure time is at 2.00 pm. To which I explain that in Booking I specified that the departure time was at 18.00 h, thinking that it would be no problem (as it was and I was charged an extra for that service). They stayed on the same until even after sending them the proof with the schedule and they didn’t agree until I got very serious and asked them to refund me for that difference in hours. When we arrived at the accommodation, to our surprise, we were told that the fireplace could not be used. It was forbidden. Of course, this was not included in the information of the accommodation and if I had known I would not have rented it. So I put an audio back to the person in charge - with whom I had been talking - and it has been five days and he has not bothered to even hear it. The person who attended us at the Cortijo, very friendly (yes), told us that the house had heating. Turns out you can't control the heating. They're the ones doing it. We caught very bad weather, rain and very cold (about 3°). So we spent the weekend with a lot of cold, rolled into a blanket. On the day of departure, before 12.00 in the morning the house was freezing because the heating was cut off. I had to say again that it was very cold there. They turned it on after a while, but at such a low temperature that we went cold anyway until we left at 6.00 pm. In addition, I rented accommodation with one room with two single beds: one 90 cm and one 1.35 cm, (because there were no double beds and intending to sleep both in the 1.35 cm), but we were put in another house with two 90 cm beds. The management is terrible. I would not repeat or recommend them to anyone.

Our daughter celebrated her wedding there, they brought us together with family and friends all weekend. The incomparable setting, the fantastic accommodation. The large farmhouse has everything you could need and the space is wonderful. The catering has been the responsibility of "Saboga" and there is no question about it.

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful rural cottage set in the Sierra Nevada park. Cottage has everything you need. Stunning views. Free parking & short drive to the airport (approx 30-45 mins). Local town of La Zubia is approx 5 mins drive away. 15 min drive from Nevada shopping which has plenty of shopping & food outlets. 30 mins drive away from Granada central & more touristy part of town. Very friendly staff.
