Rusticae Molino de Alcuneza

We spent one night (room 10) located on the second floor and facing the back area of the main building. Room with a comfortable bed including a welcome card, capsule coffee maker, tea, bottle of water, some local snacks, A/C, safe (we notified them it wasn't working, there was no maintenance person), XL size bathrobes with slippers, new bathroom with shower and amenities. The room door is somewhat uncomfortable because it is noisy when operating it, and there is poor soundproofing between rooms. We ordered some dishes from the menu at the outdoor bar and later found out that half-portions could be ordered¿? We had dinner at the bistro, tasty dishes, but in my opinion, poor coordination regarding the service. We took advantage of the outdoor pool, which is a plus in summer; the poor finish of it in the curb area and the connection with the mosaic tiles caught my attention, given the hotel's level. It has 3 electric vehicle chargers, one out of service, free, but very, very slow. We received good service from the person who checked us in upon arrival.

We were lucky enough to stay at this charming hotel for three nights this summer. Thanks to the incredible owners and staff, who put their whole hearts into making every guest's stay perfect, we reveled in a few days of heavenly relaxation and star gazing. The quiet setting, the friendly and ever helpful staff, the lovely owners, the incredible Michelin star food -- we couldn't have asked for anything more. As if all that weren't enough they are a certified Starlight Reserve: from the lovely outdoor swimming pool and grounds, you can see the milky way, the constellations, and (if you are lucky) some shooting stars!

Complicated review to write: Exceptional food, we enjoyed the essences menu with pairing, €205 per person. The menu is worth it (€135), the pairing (€70) is expensive for a bottle whose cost on the street is 20 euros. I would understand it if they served you different wines depending on the successive dishes, but that was not the case. As I was saying, the menu is exquisite, we enjoyed it: the lamb rice or the pig's trotter tacos are super tasty, and the succession of dishes that we were able to try was sublime. The table service was careful and attentive. However, the front desk service was cold, inattentive, we felt "out of place." Furthermore, we started off on the wrong foot in the days prior, since we suffered a huge disappointment: we had a €400 gift voucher that some friends gave us and that was just enough for the menu and the spa (Spa Pack + table for 2) which included both for €400. But our surprise was huge when they told us that gift vouchers could not be used with the packs. Absurd (and also, not reflected on the website). After having to fight for it and suffer -the gift already became an ordeal-, they were condescending and accepted as if they were doing us a favor to be able to apply the gift voucher to the corresponding pack. Management does not realize that for many of the clients who attend, this meal is a unique event to be able to enjoy, and not just another Michelin star to hang on the lapel of high-standing people. It seems they think more about billing than about using the food as a gift, an enjoyment for everyone. Thanks then to the Chef, and my most absolute protest to the hotel management. A shame.
