Monte Igueldo

My husband and I stayed for a week at this hotel and although it prides itself on its position regarding wonderful views and sunsets it cannot make up for the attitude of the staff. Everything seemed to be too much trouble. Staff were not welcoming at all and frequently gave wrong information- even refusing to serve myself food in the pool bar way before closing because she had to take time to clean up. Earlier reviews also reflect similar comments. It seems management at the hotel neither care or can be bothered to act upon guest reviews.

Hotel enjoying an exceptional location and view. Check-in very long and staff kind but poorly qualified for a 4-star establishment. We paid for a room with a balcony and a view of the bay and we got a room without an outdoor area... No commercial gesture to compensate for this.

Unique location with a dreamlike view of the beach and the old town! Nice terrace. Check-in was quick, the room on the 2nd floor without a sea view was okay and very clean. Breakfast was average with too few staff. Free parking directly at the hotel.
