Hotel Niza

FOR: stayed here some years ago and has definitely been improved. Great location for beach, old town and promenade. Very clean and outstanding views from balcony. Very nice outside sitting area on the promenade for drinks and food looked good but we didn't eat there as wanted to go to the old town for tapas AGAINST : no fridge or tea and coffee making facilities which was a shame as I like a cuppa when I wake up Very basic room but clean and comfortable BUT THE NOISE!! The bar and club just below had loud music, shouting, banging ALL night. Went on till 6am and then party revellers left shouting, laughing, singing along the front right below hotel. Difficult nights sleep. We were relieved when on our second night the club was not open. Thankfully we only stayed 2 nights. For this reason will not stay again.

We chose this hotel mainly because of its excellent location, and it turned out to be a great base for exploring the city. Having a private parking area was another big advantage and made our stay much more convenient. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was good, offering enough variety to start the day, and the service throughout the hotel was friendly and efficient. The only downside was the sound insulation, which has been mentioned in other reviews as well. Unfortunately, it is quite easy to hear people walking in the room above. If someone is wearing heels—or if there's a child happily running around—it can make it difficult to get a good night's sleep. That said, we still felt the hotel offered very good value for money. We would happily stay here again... next time, we'll just ask for a room on the top floor! 🙂

the good points we could find: good location with parking, good water pressure (shower), friendly service. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the rest...at $450 per night, our room was simply a bed and not much else...no bar fridge, no minibar, no shampoo, no body wash, no kettle, no coffee or tea sachets... when we asked about this, we were simply told "this is just a 3 stars hotel"...I think the pricing would suggest otherwise. The hotel itself and its location was quite noisy as well. We will not return as there are many better options available.
