Islantilla Golf Resort

Misleading advertising and lack of transparency in Wellness prices I was extremely disappointed with the wellness service at DoubleTree by Hilton Islantilla Beach Golf Resort. I decided to schedule a "Relaxing Massage" for two people based on the explicit information contained in the hotel's official brochure (as shown). In the brochure, the "Masajes Clásicos" section clearly indicates the price of €45 for 25 minutes, with a note right below that says literally in Spanish and English: "Masajes for 2 personas. Niños y niñas hasta 15 años / "Massages for two people. Boys and girls up to 15 years old". Any customer who reads this assumes, with all logic, that the price presented is for the couple experience (two people), even because the note indicates a specific type of service. However, the reality at the time of paying was completely different. I was charged 90€, justifying that the price of 45€ was per person. When questioned, they stick to asterisk ("small letters") and ambiguities to deceive the customer. If the price is individual, you should not put a highlight to say "Massages for 2 people" just below the value without clearly specifying that the value is per capita. At the top of the section says only to "consult availability for two people at the same time", which aggravates even more the induced confusion. Say one thing in the brochure and do another completely different in the box. A total lack of transparency and an abusive commercial practice that is not admissible in a hotel of this category. I do not recommend.

The hotel is very nice; this is the second year we are going. Although it is not next to the beach, there is a hotel train that takes you there and a beach club. Jesus from the pool is fantastic, and the Italian restaurant at the golf course is very good, as well as the breakfast.

This is the second year we have stayed at this hotel on the same dates. Tranquility and also fun without overcrowding; the lifeguard Jesús is super friendly, just like his animation colleague. Excellent cleanliness, in the restaurant on the terrace in front of the hotel, very good Italian food, and Mónica is an excellent professional. It is a hotel that I recommend with a very good and quiet pool, free spa area, free beach club, as well as tourist train services to the beach 🏖️
