Apartamentos Monterrey

Total lack of respect! We booked based on the photos from booking (beautiful sea/pool view or even on the trees) for a price of almost €800 for a week. And when we arrived, we were placed in an apartment with a view of a dump! We might have accepted it if there hadn't been a heat pump right in front of the terrace that ran non-stop and made unbearable noise! It was impossible to sleep with that, not to mention that the sliding door leading to the terrace didn't close (anyone could have accessed our apartment, the terrace was easily accessible). We therefore asked to change accommodations, to which we were told that the hotel was almost full during this period (which is completely false since it was almost empty the week we were there) and that there was only one other room available... We opted for the lesser of two evils, which was... a view of a wall!! far from what the advertisement presented. And when we requested compensation for this scam, we were told to speak with the manager whom, strangely, we couldn't manage to see all week... No commercial gesture on their part! Now let's move on to the accommodation itself... Horrible terrace because on the ground floor we collected all the ashes and cigarette butts from the terraces above, not to mention all the sweepings that the cleaning staff just swept onto the ground and that ended up on our table! The fridge was full of water, we had to soak it up ourselves to refrigerate our food. But it would have been bearable if we could at least sleep! If you were planning to rest during this vacation, forget it!! Between the walls, thinner than paper, where you can hear your neighbors vomiting from 4 to 7 AM (and I won't go into all the details) and the cleaning staff who, it seems, deliberately scream at not even 7 AM and make cart runs, you can sleep a maximum of 2 to 3 hours per night... So yes, the only positive point would be the pool, but that is not enough to compensate for all these scams!!!

Starting from the extremely unfriendly receptionists, we had a flight cancellation, so we needed a room at 11 PM for one adult and a small child without breakfast, despite being told that we had breakfast. One room held for 10 hours cost 200 euros, with very poor cleaning, an extremely dirty fridge, and the floor was unacceptable. The value for money is terrible, moved away from the center, never again, even if it were free. Vending machines with outrageous prices, and breakfast there costs 10 euros per person 🤮
