Apartamentos Colon II

We stayed for a week in one of the suites (2 bedrooms and a lounge/diner) It was spacious and clean and thankfully quiet which is what I was worried about being so close to one of the main tourist strips. The staff were friendly and quickly sorted any issues. I have 2 niggles though which detracted from my enjoyment: Our balcony ran lengthways along the side of our apartment and not in front as normal. I think it's because we had a suite. Anyway, the balcony didn't get even one bit of sun at any point during the day. So if you're going late summer, or early spring note this as your only other option is the pool Secondly, smoking was fully permitted around the poolside which was horrible for us as were non smokers. Smoke surrounded us from all sides. It would be good if they could designate a non smoking area at the far end maybe? Other than that it was good value for money and a mixed bag of nationalities which is always nice.
