Fariones Apartamentos

Very clean apartments . We had air conditioning and the apartments were well kept and cleaned every day as well as the pool and eating area. Not a big problem getting sunbeds as usually the sun terrace wasn’t overcrowded. We had half board with the Fariones suites hotel and breakfast was in the apartment complex. It was ok and the lunches there very tasty and reasonable prices as was the drink. The superior hotel buffet was not exceptional at all so we ate out a few nights . I’m glad we didn’t go full board . Staff in the apartments were very nice. First time in Lanzarote and absolutely loved it . It’s so reasonably priced compared to other resorts nowadays. Lots of really good restaurants nearby. Only fault was that there was a bath with a shower attachment which wasn’t really very suitable for me. Think they would need to modernise you can get showers in the hotel but it’s much more expensive, also if you have mobility issues the hill is very steep up to reception much nicer coming down than up ! I enjoyed staying here a lot.

Excellent location. Rooms very clean. Breakfast very tasty. Pool fine but beds beside the pool were taken almost daily, sometimes by 6 o clock each morning. The sun deck , on the other hand was only open between 08:30 / 09:00. Towels were sometimes left on chairs for more than an hour at a time and the lifeguard would issue tickets but when the patrons returned, these tickets were binned. Our travel agent had advised us that there was NO AIR CONDITIONING in the apartments only a free standing fan but reassured us that it wasn't a problem when she had last stayed but it was a big problem. We requested an extra fan but did not help much. There are air con units available at a cost of 50 euro per week. One of the lifeguards was a lovely lad, really hardworking. The other lifeguard spent most of the day on his phone . Staff were very nice with the exception of one member who was rude and unpleasant. Internet services are very poor and constantly cut out during the morning, afternoon and night time. My partner brought work with him and was unable to complete it unless he sat in or close to the reception area. The staff were very accommodating though and did their best with these issues but poor service(Internet) Be aware also that check in is at 3pm. We arrived just after 12 in the afternoon after travelling from 04:00am and weren't aware of this. It was an expensive holiday for an average stay, unfortunately.

Really clean Apartments and friendly staff. Only downside is the 7am queue for sunbeds, really embarrassing thing to witness. Not sure how the owners can do anything to stop this. The pool guard does put a 1hr warning on any unused though and removes towels. Would definitely stay again if we go back to Lanzarote.
