We stayed at Secrets Resort for 10 days from 16th to 26th July and we have had the best time. The hotel is in a quiet and beautiful location far enough from the hussle and bustle but close enough for a short walk to the marina for some drinks food and shopping or a short €5 taxi to a slightly bigger town. The atmosphere in the hotel was great super relaxed, safe, friendly and the staff could not have been more amenable. No ask was to great and all the staff genuinely wanted to give you a great experience. The rooms were lovely such a big bed, clean spacious and the grounds of the hotel were stunning. Visually breathtaking! We were completely shocked at how reasonably priced the food and drinks were and more than happy with our final bill. While it is cheaper to eat in the marina the quality could not compare so we are everyday at the restaurants and cafes. The food for breakfast was excellent, such high quality and unlike a buffet I’ve eaten at before - super clean, amazing quality and so much selection! Oceana restaurant was a personal favorite the grounds are stunning and the sea bass was amazing! Would highly recommend! The cheesecake was the best I’ve ever eaten and I will have dreams about it (gutted I didn’t ask for the recipe!) We also purchased the Spa circuit for €70 each we got to use the spa everyday which for 10 days felt like incredible value for money. We made a lovely habit of unwinding (after a hard day by the pool 😂) in the sauna and dynamic pool and I fear we might be investing in a fog shower for the next renovation! The hotel offer a wide selection of entertainment from cocktail classes (a personal favourite), aqua gym and live music of an evening! The events for the World Cup final was a great night! Unfortunately the sports bar wasn’t open during our stay but the football was on in the piano bar. We spent some lovely time at the sushi restaurant where the chefs were so helpful and informative giving us recommendations and advice on different dishes. We have to say that Ruben our waiter most nights really added an extra touch to our meals with his charm and jokes. I really can’t recommend this hotel more, the staff, the food, the cheesecake it was all incredible ❤️ We definitely will be back!

This is a sprawling hotel. If anyone in your party has accessibility issues then be warned there are a lot of steps to get to one of the restaurants and you may need to use more than one lift to get to your room and back to the pool or buffet restaurant. The staff are great. Particular attention to Harsh and Veronica on reception, Christina on the waiting staff (everywhere) and Leyton working the pool bar. We booked a pool view room, which was lovely. Spacious, nice balcony, everything worked. Good selection of restaurants (half mile walk away) in the nearby Puerto Calero. Aqua aerobics most days. Pool is not heated but once you’re in it’s lovely.
