Morromar

A short review for anyone who is looking for a cheap but amazing holiday. I went to this hotel in July of 2026 and I must say that it does not deserve only 3 stars on it's ratings. The service was excellent from the staff around the hotel from the bar to the reception with them being very friendly and fast too. I found this to be especially prevalent in the restaurant (as I went all inclusive) with them actively cleaning as they went along and of course ensuring that the food was served at a good quality. Not like some other places I've stayed where they essentially leave the food until it's stone cold and then replace it. Now most importantly for a hotel there was the rooms. I must say it was amazing. The room I got was spacious with 2 balconies (which was lucky), a well-equipped kitchenette, a lovely clean and spacious bathroom, a lounge area inside and a very comfortable double bed with plenty of wardrobes to go with it. Now whilst I loved the room there is a couple of small drawbacks to it. One is the deposit of 20 Euros for the air conditioning and a 15 Euro deposit for the safe. But these didn't matter too much as the air conditioning deposit is refunded once you give back the remote and whilst you don't receive the full deposit back from the safe (which was highlighted to me before placing my deposit) you do still get five Euros back which was a bonus. The location of the hotel is excellent. It's placed at most 10 minutes from the sea front (like advertised) but outside of the front it is also placed around 5 minutes away from a big supermarket which was handy for any last minute munchies. The location of the front near the hotel is excellent with a wide variety of restaurants from Irish Pubs to Chinese to more up market rooftop cocktail bars. I found these to all be extremely budget friendly which is perfect as it helps fight the possibility of all inclusive cabin fever. The beach is also excellent with a nice shallow shore for families with small children and with sun loungers being hired for around 4 euros which is fine by me considering how much they are in the UK. I also found the Taxis to travel around the Island to be great with a trip to Puerto Del Carmen (10 minute trip or an hour if your walking) to be around 7-8 Euros which is very reasonable. A point to note surrounding the taxis is that you cannot hail them instead you either have to go to a blue signed taxi rank (which are spread throughout the towns) or have the hotel reception call one for you. Puerto Del Carmen is also amazing with open air shopping centres, cheap bars and pubs and a good, friendly atmosphere all around. As you might be able to tell I enjoyed my holiday here at Morromar and will definitely consider them for future breaks away. :)

We had booked our 2nd week here in this complex, after having stayed in Playa Blanca. Professional welcome. On the other hand, the place is very noisy day and night, with little respect between vacationers: a mess everywhere..., people shouting, screaming, and slamming doors at all hours. People are smoking at the pool even though it is forbidden.... Clean apartment, equipped with a kitchenette if you are not on an all-inclusive plan. Dining room = cafeteria; the tables are not set: you have to go get your own cutlery, glasses, and paper napkins... and no placemats on tables that are not always very clean... And we are only at the beginning of July...... 2 pools where it is also difficult to find a lounge chair... despite the fact that it is forbidden to reserve them..

09:30 in the morning, we're waiting patiently at one of the several chained off entrances to the pool. There are dozens of people watching the pool attendant hose down the sunbeds and surrounding area. We wait.....in anticipation, we count the sunbeds, there are just 85 of them by the main pool. But there are hundreds of people staying here. Will we get a sun lounger? Suddenly, one of the chains is opened and then we all shout "Go, go, go!". We grab the first 4 sunbeds we can. Quickly wheel them to our favourite area around the pool. In just 3 minutes it's all over, all sunbeds have towels on, all claimed. We look around and see big gaps around the pool. There could easily be another 40 loungers to comfortably fit in. Other areas: apartment clean & comfortable (mattress is very firm), food - plenty of choice, entertainment team is good, activities for all. Tapi popular with the kids.
