Acuario Sol Apartments

Just arrived back from this hotel avoid if you have booked separate hotels with family or friends. Under NO circumstances are you allowed visitors, my parents are in a different hotel and came by to drop off a cardi, also to have a look as they were looking for a new place to stay next year. Female lifeguard unfriendly and approached us immediately to tell us it's not possible even to drop a cardi off. It's not like they rocked up with towels etc ready for a day at pool. God forbid there was an emergency with a family member or friend. The attitude of this lifeguard is questionable and as stated in other reviees she is everywhere other than the pool She is the only person i came across who mever said hello/goid morning the whole 2 weeks i was there. The male lifeguard at the weekends was lovely and always visible. So they have just lost custom for next year as parents loved look of apartment/pool etc. Pool and rooms clean although not cleaned "properly" during stay and location is an 8 min walk from front strip, food and staff in pool bar lovely

Booked here as our usual appointments were fully booked. ( Arena dorada ) Arrived at reception which is located in a different street to where our apartment was so could be a problem if you have mobility issues. Receptionist was polite and chatty. A copy of the hotel do's & dont's ( there was loads) was given to us which we had to sign. Was really happy with our room, it was ground floor right opposite the pool, Newly decorated, clean and tidy. Unfortunately there was no toilet tissue in the room so hubby grabbed a hand full from the poolside restroom as i was already sitting on the toilet When I noticed. He Called reception to mention this and she did bring a roll up. Following morning i receive a text from reception saying it was FORBIDDEN to bring paper fron the poolside toilet into our room. This really annoyed me...!! Housekeeping came every 2 days but the room wasn't actually cleaned just fresh towels and 1 toilet roll. They were still renovating the room next door so plenty of workers back and forth and loads of drilling. Our terrace was full of red / brown dust from the work so I had to wipe down our furniture every time we used it. This happened to use before in a different hotel and cleaners came around every morning to wipe things over for us... Nice touch i thought. Pool was lovely and clean. Plenty of sunbeds. Does state there's a life guard on duty but she does everything but guard the pool. She wonders off into the rooms to chat with the cleaners,then she was weeding and watering the plans. One day she was hosing the area around the pool entrance and the the cafe bar with no considerations for others. Everyone was having to lift all their stuff off the floor as water run onto it. No caution signs were put out warning of the wet floor! She was pulling on the hose pipe nearly causing 3 older ladies to fall but just looked at them as if it was their fault.. On our last day we had to leave the room at 11am and wasn't flying till 9pm so sat around the pool. It was quite overcast but when the sun came out it was boiling so we asked her for a umbrella.... Was told no, to windy!! I could not believe my ears! ALL the umbrella bases are screwed into the floor and was definitely not to windy. There was no shade what so ever around the pool side. All the umbrellas around the pool side cafe had theirs up so definitely not windy... She just didn't want to pull them out. Also.... Moving sunbeds is not allowed.

Great location this newly renovated apartment block is spacious modern and has everything you need pool beautiful quite and no problem getting a sunbed any day pool bar friendly and great menu
