I was excited to visit the UNESCO-listed Romanesque churches around Boí Valley, so I had high hopes for this hotel. Sadly, the stay was a major disappointment. The check-in process was quick and efficient, which was appreciated after a long drive. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill. The breakfast experience was chaotic. It genuinely looked like a hurricane had passed through the dining room. Many buffet items were empty, tables were dirty, and the whole area felt neglected. To make matters worse, there was dust blowing from the air-conditioning exhaust directly above the coffee machine. Staff cleaned only a few tables while playing music from their phones, which felt very unprofessional. I asked whether they had Iberico ham, considering this is Spain, but instead they simply brought out another tray of bacon. The entire hallway smelled strongly of chlorine from the spa and pool area. Our room was extremely hot, and the air conditioning did not work during the stay. We had to sleep with the window open just to make the room bearable, but that obviously would not work during bad weather. Dinner was decent enough, but the wine selection was disappointing and tasted like inexpensive supermarket wine. In a country with such fantastic wine culture, this felt like a missed opportunity. Overall, the hotel did not meet expectations at all, and I would not stay here again.

It shouldn't have 4 stars. The hotel is very good in public areas. We were a family of 4 and took the large room (suitable for 6 people), so we had plenty of space. But, the furniture in the room left much to be desired. Beds with broken upholstery, pillows almost as thin as a paper, bathroom lever that you must operate it several times to close, ... But the unfortunate thing is breakfast. I had a better breakfast in lower-class hotels. Little variety and scarce. They run out and take time to restock, so you have to wait. Two small coffee machines that give problems, splash, run out of product, stop working, claim glasses, cups, chaos. About the staff, friendly everyone. Special mention to DAVID, from the dining room. He's an excellent worker. He cares about everything, he tries to bring everything and he's the one who makes things work inside the chaos. In short, they should try to improve these things to be a reference hotel on site.
