Hostal La plata

The hostel is cheap, it is very well located, the reception girls are very sympathetic, they recommended a tour of the city and it was great, it is a good option for those who go to Madrid for the first time since it is in La Gran Via

I was here 4 years ago and from the pictures it seems that there has been some refurbishment. If you need a place to sleep that is right in the middle of it all then this is the hotel for you. You are down the road from the central Plazas on the Gran Via and the walk takes you across the Puerta del Sol which is very much THE meeting place. Unfortunately, the lift takes you only part of the way up, as the main door is common to other establishments. But the hosts are very approachable and helped in any way they could with any difficulties. The room was slightly crammed but at our budget, quite acceptable.

The best thing is the location of the hostel, we walked a lot and we knew a lot about the Spanish culture. I recommend it for its strategic location. It is also a fair price for the service, I think I will return to stay there when returning to Madrid
