We stayed for one night at Abril Hostal - I think there are both apartments and a hotel. Our accommodation was in the apartment block and was a garden suite. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly, bringing our bags from the car to our room. We wanted to have breakfast on the communal outdoor terrace but there was no facilities in our room for this however when we asked at reception a kettle, cups, spoons, bowls and glasses, along with some coffee, teabags and sugar were delivered to our room - fantastic service. The accommodation was spotless, in both the common areas and our room, which had a double bed and a large sofa bed for our son. The large bathroom was very clean and lots of lovely shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand lotion was provided. Plenty of fluffy white towels were available. Air conditioning was good and essential in the hot weather we experienced during our stay. There is no lift in the building which may be of concern to those with mobility issues but it wasn't any problem for us. The outdoor terrace has plenty of seating with 2 sun loungers, sun bed area and comfy couches. Its a big bonus for a city centre apartment to be able to relax with a glass of wine or to enjoy breakfast. I understand some of the rooms have their own private balcony or terrace. Abril is located c10 mins walk to the Balcon, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and a large, Mercadona supermarket 4 mins walk away. Perfect central, but quiet location. I have no hesitation recommending this apartment and would come back again if we return to Nerja. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Highly recommended.Great location, clean & modern. Helpful staff in a family run hotel. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and beaches. Very close to bus station.

Abril hostel is in a brilliant location. It's bright & airy with great air conditioning. The staff are very friendly and can’t do enough to make your stay amazing. 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟all round. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. We would highly recommend the Abril.
