Atalayas de Riviera Apartamentos

Stayed at Atalayas from 10th Feb to 31st Mar 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay. We booked for a 2 bedroom but was upgraded to 3 a bedroom. You will need a car when staying here as it is quite a jog to the nearest town of Sitio de Calahonda. The apartment is very well equipped and the best part is the apartment is cleaned and towels and beddings changed every 2 days. The Pros: Underground parking with elevator from garage to apartments. Internet is fast with strong signal. Kitchen fully equipped and large. Washer, dryer and dishwasher in apartment. Large Balcony with patio furniture and fantastic view. Bedrooms spacious with lots of closet space. Iron and ironing board. Well supplied with portable heaters and fans. 1 ensuite bathroom (2 sinks, bidet, bathtub with shower) in master bedroom. 1 full bathroom bath/shower. Toiletries supplied. Private, secured and gated complex - key entries. Complex have 3 swimming pools. The Cons: TV programing (only 1 English channel BBC1) but because the internet service was fast with strong signal,we watched streaming Programs/Netflix. Distance to stores, restaurants - car needed. Would have no problem staying here again but sadly, we were the last vacation renters as Atalayas is now a "long term only" rental. Stayed in this location for 10 days over Spring Break. The Pros: We were upgraded from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom / 2 bath condo upon arrival. Apartment is spacious and clean. Full kitchen makes it very convenient when traveling with children. Very close to highway, which makes getting to different cities in Spain very easy Cons: The beds are pretty hard, so not super comfortable, but still ok. Multiple keys to get into main gate, garage, apartment building and apartment -- gets confusing. Hot water runs out pretty quickly. For the value, this was a great deal. I would stay here again. This is not a typical "hotel", so do not expect the amenities that you would receive there. If you are looking for a "condo like" accommodation, then this is a great fit.

We stayed here for 5 nights from 25/11/2015. We have stayed here 4 times and always got a beautiful apartment, this time it was nothing like the previous one. It was very cold with only 2 radiators, which we could live with just for 5 nights, but when we looked at the pool it was full of green moss and the other one had about 2ft of water in it luckily we don't have small children as they would have been very disappointed. The water wasn't hot enough to bath or wash up, and there where no plugs. When I asked at reception what was happening they informed me that they where going to be closing in March. This is very sad as it was a great place to just get away for a few days to relax. So we definitely will not be returning. Also the wifi didn't work.
