InHouse Marbella

Beautiful place , located in the centre of Marbella close to everything , and there is also a beautiful rooftop with a bar . You can walk from the hostel to the port which is takes you 5 minutes, also walking to the bus station is only 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

We reserved a room on booking.com as we were in flight from California, the hotel tried to key in our credit card. Since the card has a chip, it must be present to be approved. Instead of waiting for us to arrive, they sent us an email telling us they were going to cancel our room if we don't respond. First of all, we were on a plane, second of all the reservation was GUARANTEED through booking.com, which means if we didn't show up we would have had to pay for the room. Third, the email didn't come through until we were connected to a wifi....at the inHouse. They did nothing to help us locate a room. At 21:30 in the evening in Marbella, in August, they left us with no where to go, didn't try to help and weren't the least bit sorry for what they did. Only stay here if you want to risk no loosing your room to someone whose willing to pay a few more euro, because that's the kind of people that run this place. They knew that the room was guaranteed to be paid for, but they gave it to someone else anyhow. The manager and the staff were absolutely despicable in their actions, so I warn anyone thinking about staying here, prepare to find another place.

It started with myself taking the wrong bed. I wrongly assumed that mine was taken as there was someone else’s stuff on it. So when I took another bed and finally fell asleep despite an incredibly hot room one of the guests called a staff member instead of talking to me. At 2 in the morning he came barching in like a bouncer who was about to kick me out of a club, talking loudly to me “show me your key” and “you’re in the wrong bed”. I tried to explain that I thought it was taken because of the personal belongings but he didn’t care and woke everyone else up as well. I didn’t do anything on purpose as there was a free bed left and felt very unwelcome. There’s constant and extreme noise coming from outside, there’s loads of mosquitos and it’s not really clean. Normally I’m easily satisfied: give me a bed and be hospitable as a staff member and I’m happy. Unfortunately, in this case, however cheap the hostel might be, I find it not worth my money, not even for one night.
