La Villa Marbella

★★★★★ My stay at La Villa Marbella was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt like guests in a family home rather than a hotel. Marcos, the owner, is a wonderful host. Having lived in Singapore for many years, he has brought beautiful Asian influences to the property, creating unique, peaceful rooms full of character. We stayed in the Bali room, and it was beautifully designed with an elegant Balinese ambiance that made our stay truly special. Another huge plus was the location. Being in the heart of Marbella's Old Town made it so easy to explore the charming streets, restaurants, shops, and nearby attractions on foot. A special thank you to Benjamin and Joan at the front desk. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with recommendations and anything we needed. Their genuine hospitality made us feel like part of the family. Their service was truly 5-star. The complimentary in-house breakfast was another highlight. Everything was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared—the perfect way to start each morning. If you're looking for a boutique hotel with outstanding service, beautiful design, and a warm, personal atmosphere, La Villa Marbella is the perfect choice. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marbella.★★★★★ A truly wonderful experience at La Villa Marbella. We loved the family-owned atmosphere, the beautiful Asian-inspired design, and our gorgeous Bali room. DO NOT STAY HERE — ESPECIALLY WOMEN TRAVELLING ALONE This property is nothing like it is advertised. It is essentially a room in a house with a shared living area. My room was under the stairs, with the window and door directly onto one of the main streets into town. You hear people constantly walking past outside, as well as everything from the neighbours above — footsteps, high heels and things being dropped - everything and everyone coming through the main door. The room was extremely old and poorly maintained, and several lights did not work nor did the tv. I travelled for hours and was exhausted my first night I thought I’ll put up with it . But on the second night the noise was unbearable. I contacted the hotel at 11pm and nobody did anything. At 3:30am I went to speak to staff, and instead of helping me, a male staff member physically pushed me. I have video evidence and reported the incident to the police. As a woman travelling alone, I found this completely unacceptable and frightening. No woman should be physically pushed by male staff for raising a legitimate complaint. I am extremely concerned about the way women travelling alone may be treated at this property. Manager Marco confirmed I would receive a full refund and offered an upgrade, but after being physically pushed I did not feel safe staying there and simply wanted to leave. A week later, the hotel has now changed its position and says I will only receive a partial refund. I am pursuing the matter through the appropriate authorities. I’m confused as it had very many good reviews so it must of been the suite I had been given , I note it’s not a suite it’s a bedroom in a party house. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The Villa Marbella is a beautiful, historic, and quaint hotel in a quiet, but centrally-located area in the historic district. The room was spacious, and there were other common areas to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We were well-received upon check-in, and they assured us that they are available at any time during our stay, if needed. We would definitely stay here again.
