Never a 4-star hotel (max. 3 stars): The location by the sea is wonderful, and the fact that the lounge chairs (outdated) and umbrellas (many unfortunately broken) are right on the beach is the biggest and only plus point of this accommodation. The pool area is okay, but could use a renovation. Looks like a 2-3 star facility. Otherwise, the hotel has also really aged. Everything shows significant signs of wear and tear, and there is hardly any emphasis on stylish decor. They have no eye for what could be made cozier with a little effort; for example, if there is a string of lights, it isn't even turned on for cozy lighting. The furniture in the otherwise absolutely uncomfortable and cluttered dining hall (hall is the correct word, this cannot be called a restaurant) is partially broken. The food is presented without care, of average quality, and unfortunately everything is totally overcooked. Why one has to fry meat into shoe soles is incomprehensible and a total shame. People here eat more like animals than dine. Some staff are extraordinarily friendly and warm, but others are totally unfriendly and bitchy. The apartments are okay; although styleless and smelling a bit musty, they serve their purpose if you only sleep here and do not want to linger. The ocean view is certainly worth it, even if the furniture on the small balcony was not clean, because you really do not want to look into the inner courtyard. It's a shame, our expectations based on the information on the hotel website were disappointed; we should have paid closer attention to what was already mentioned in older reviews. It seems as if this facility has already been written off...

Absolute disappointment.
Lack of professionalism, no care with allergens, we spent the whole night in the emergency room because they were not professional nor did they take care with the food.
We informed the hotel of our daughter's food allergy, and we ended up seriously hospitalized. They deny their responsibility, "zero" action protocol for an extreme situation.
I would not recommend it to anyone allergic, intolerant, or celiac, as their life is in danger. I don't think they know the serious consequences they can cause.

Three of us are just back from a 5 night all inclusive stay at this hotel, which we booked to celebrate my mother's 80th Birthday. I had contacted the hotel before we arrived to ask them to acknowledge the big birthday in some small way. Nothing was done, despite a response to my e-mail acknowledging same. When I mentioned it at reception, I was simply told "we don't do that here". Showed my e-mail response to be told "well that shouldn't have been sent" very disappointing and disrespectful. We had booked a two bedroom hotel room with three beds and when we got to the room the sofa bed wasn't made up. I brought this up with reception and was basically told to make it up myself that there should be sheets on it!! Needless to say there wasn't. Its basics like this that really give a place a bad name. It costs nothing to be nice. Food is limited enough, no meat cooked to order, and same salads every day. Also, surprisingly a very limited choice of fruit for breakfast. A lot of the crockery was chipped and needs updating. The only bar open is the poolside bar, where you will only get a plastic glass, not the same having a glass of wine or a brandy from a plastic glass. The sun-loungers beside the pool were also very poor, with many of them broken. The location on the beach is lovely and our room had a lovely sea view (which we paid for). The cleaning staff were very friendly and rooms were kept well, but same cannot be said for Reception staff.
