The golf course is superb. Challenging, but not too difficult and has several different types of hole. Certainly my favorite in the area. BUT, what a shame about the quality of the hire clubs. A set of old badly scratched Ping clubs and a cheap putter. Not what we expected from such a prestigious (and relatively expensive) course. They did find another set for us from a different supplier (Swing&Rent.com). Those were a newer set of Callaway, relatively new woods and a quality putter. I do hope Rio Real improve their hire clubs. But I would recommend Swing&Rent.com. They deliver clubs of your choice to your hotel and collect. A much better option than the old rental clubs from the pro shop.
