This is a gem of a hotel.
We wanted to book a small boutique hotel in a quiet location, with good food and sunshine.
La Vinuela did not disappoint.
Situated on the banks of a lake (reservoir) with mountain views in an exceptionally quiet location La Vinuela is an ideal hotel to get away from it all. But be warned there are no small towns or villages within walking distance, so I was glad we chose the half board option. The food was excellent and portion size generous, I only made it to the desert course on 2 occasions!
There is a Spa on site and I treated myself to a relaxing Spa treatment one afternoon, which was delightful.
There are only 30 generous sized bedrooms overlooking either the lake or mountains but the hotel is a destination wedding venue, (4 took place during our weeks stay) these celebrations are self contained and did not bother us in any way
We are already looking at booking again for next year, but next time will hire a car giving us more freedom to explore the area.
