Parador De Malaga Gibralfaro Hotel

My wife and I popped into this beautiful hotel , for some drinks , on our final day in Malaga . We found it by chance . I couldn’t believe how peaceful it was . One of the nicest , quietest and picturesque spots I’ve ever visited. The bar staff was very helpful , as was the receptionist helping me with the WiFi! I’m already looking at booking a 3 night stay for our 25th wedding anniversary in two years , as I was that impressed with the hotel and tranquility.

Fabulous location and same high standard as other Paradores. Shout out to Estafania on front desk and staff in restaurants.

What a gorgous place! We'd bookmarked it as a beautiful place we'd like to stay one day. But this was only a single day ashore from a cruise so we decided to get an Uber up the steep hill to the castle, then walk back down. The parador is very close to the castle so an ideal coffee stop. A nice young man met us, we explained we could only stop for coffee but he still offered us a table on the terrace with fabulous views. And my husband asked if he could also have a glass of water (it was a hot day) and they brought us 2 lovely glasses with ice and lemon - they didn't have to do that! The bill at the end for 2 lovely coffees was only 7euros so we felt we had to leave a generous tip just for the fantastic service! Oh and using their loos before we left :) This is a true parador and on our bucket list to return one day.
